SHOOT ANALYSIS (FINAL SELECTION)

 Following is the final selection of my photographs for my magazine cover page, double spread analysis and content page too. These photos have been shortlisted on the basis of their technical strengths and also since they represent a good meaning to the whole content. 

COVER PHOTOGRAPH:🐾


I captured and selected this image of the model since my model represents the perfect image of a pet. It shows the curious and anxious facial expressions that pets usually have while observing their surroundings. The lighting of the image is quite good too. However my image could also be replaced with another one. 


Again this image has a very good lighting. Unlike the images for the cover page with technical faults, this image has the perfect headroom needed and the model is fully visible too. The expressions of my model are as required and he isn't looking away from the camera which makes the image more suitable for the cover image.

Although these are what I shortlisted for my content page, cover page, and double spread respectively but I could also use some for some where else too for instance one of my selected double spread photo could be used for my content page and vice versa, but these are what I shortlisted from many others in the end.

SELECTING MY GENRE

 Researching on genre, it was now time for us to choose my own genre for the magazine I will be producing. I found out a number of different genre magazines not only on the internet but also at my own home. This gave me the idea for either producing a tech magazine, a corporate magazine or an animal magazine. Out of these I had to shortlist but then decided the corporate/business genre for my preliminary task and to opt for an animal magazine for my main task since I could best use my skills in this as I was an animal lover and owner both. Not only this but you would find me reading about animals at all times, wanting to have a keen knowledge about them at all times. Hence it was my passion that I was about to base my magazine genre on now.  Therefore my magazine would be on animal care 🐾  It will not be for all the animals and would just shine the light on dogs (since I'm a dog owner myself). DISTRIBUTION STRATEGY

As far as the distribution of my magazine is concerned, it will be made available in majorly all urban areas that are highly populated. These would be Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, and Multan in particular since statistics and research states that mostly dog owners are found in these urban areas.   I will be selling my magazine's copies at a fair price in the number of 1000. These will be available at big shops and stalls where mostly the upper class, upper middle class, and the middle class people will have their reach.
